Benjamin Turns Four

We asked the waitress at Chili's to sing Happy Birthday to Benjamin on his birthday, and he was so surprised. Even though Joshua kept talking about it, I think he was still surprised when they sang to him and brought him ice cream.

It was really good ice cream.

Joshua has been talking about getting Benjamin an ice cream cake for at least a month.

Look at Joshua's smile. He is such a good brother.

Do you see that guilty look on Lily's face? She is so excited that she got away with his card.

Lily-Anne Turns One

Lily waiting for Papa to come home. She stood there, pointed, and said Dada over and over until he got home. (Sometimes she calls him Papa and sometimes Dada...just like the boys.)

For Lily's birthday, we bought her this car. I have always wanted one for the boys, but we never bought one until the neighbor had one in the garage sale that I bought for $10. It even has a gas pump that goes with it. Of course the boys are enjoying it as much as she is. This is her first time to try it out. She is still a little too small for it, so Joshua pushed her around. I think that she likes it.

She decided to help herself to a little snack. You can see that I got out the broom, and then decided to take a picture first. That probably will not win me any mother of the year awards, but I got a couple of cute pictures, so it was worth it.

She loves her brothers!

Catching Up

I know that I have not posted in a long time, so I am going to try to catch up. It is going to take several posts.

Lily-Anne having lunch at the Exchange with Mommy while all of the boys are at work/school. She is such a good girl. She loves to shop with Mommy.

Joshua's first day of Kindergarten. Yes, this was back in September and I am just now posting it.

And here is Joshua at 6:30 pm on his first day of Kindergarten. He was one tired boy.

First Day of School

Benjamin started preschool on the 1st. He looks upset in his picture, but he was actually very excited. (You can see my earlier post about how he never smiles for pictures.) He had no trouble when I left that morning and the rest of the week, but when I took him back yesterday (Monday), he cried and did not want me to leave. He says that he is having fun, and the teachers tell me that he is "so good!" We will see if that continues.

Grandpa and MeMa's Visit #5

I tried to put these in the right order, but it didn't work, so you will have to scroll down to see the first post of the group. Sorry!

I love that kid!

Grandpa and the boys

What are little boys made of?
What are little boys made of?
Frogs and snails
And puppy-dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.

What are little girls made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice
And everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.
I said that I would never put big bows in her hair, but guess what...

Grandpa and MeMa's Visit #4

Benjamin is such a stinker. He makes a silly face in every picture.
This is at Underwater World, our aquarium.

All three of my babies.

See...a silly face by Ben...everyone else is smiling including the baby. Joshua took this picture.

Grandpa and MeMa's Visit #3

Yogurtland!

Fish Eye is a building under water in the coral reef. You can look out the windows and see the fish and coral without having to go diving. The boys love it, so their grandparents took them there while we were in China.

They give you a list of fish to look for, and the boys take it very seriously.
