Bowling

We took the boys bowling the other night which they loved. It was pretty funny. Here are a few pictures of the fun.

Looking at Papa...too sweet!

Benjamin is quite the character. We are in serious trouble when he hits the teenage years.

Talofofo Falls

Last weekend we went to Talofofo Falls which is in the middle of the island. (I think that my kids are getting spoiled being so close to the ocean because while we were driving there, Joshua looked around and asked where the beach was.) You can hike to these falls (AKA: boonie stomp), but we chose to take the gondola ride since the boys were with us. I am still amazed at how beautiful this place is. Sometimes I get caught up with our everyday lives and get frustrated about the inconveniences of living on an island in the middle of nowhere; then I drive out to the jungle or go to the beach, and stare in awe of what God has made.

Just next to the falls is Yokoi cave. During the Japanese invasion of Guam, three Japanese soldiers escaped into the jungle to keep from being captured. Two of the men passed away from illness, but one of them (Yokoi) lived in an underground cave for 28 years. He was found in 1972. You can't go into his cave, but you can look down into the opening. This is a picture of the boys walking to the cave.

This isn't the greatest picture, but right after Matthew took this, a bug flew into my mouth, so you could say that the next picture is not very good.
