Happy Birthday Benjamin!

Just thought that I would share a few pictures from Benjamin's 2nd birthday. We had the party at our neighborhood playground, and it was very laid back. The boys had a wonderful time.

Both of the boys were very excited about this present...a Mr. Potato Head for the bathtub. He has a sailor hat and snorkeling gear...both appropriate for this area of the world.

Great deal on Children's Books

I have been following the blog Chasing Cheerios for a few weeks.  She has wonderful ideas for activities to do with the kids, and today she has a link to the Weekly Reader site for this great deal.  You get 10 hardcover books with CDs plus two bonus books for $24.95.  I couldn't resist ordering it, and I figured that a few of you might want to check it out.

Sorting Legos

Disclaimer:  I know that these posts may not be very interesting to some of you, but I like to share our everyday activities with the grandparents.  I am sorry if these pictures are boring to some of you.

Joshua did a sorting activity with Legos where he sorted them by size and by color.  He used a spatula and tongs to move them around.  We have also sorted beads, marbles, letters, and lots of different toys.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, and more Pumpkins!

Last week we studied the letter P so that we could do lots of fun pumpkin activities.  Here are a few pictures.

Carving pumpkins

Eating pumpkin seeds

Block painting with pumpkins

Making beaded pumpkins

Mom, you have been holding out on us!

Yesterday the boys and I went to Wendy's for lunch, and one of the high ranking managers was there. (He was obviously visiting from the states.)  He talked to the boys several times, and at the end of the meal, he brought them Frosties.  Since they have never had Frosties before, they were thrilled.

Just a pretty beach picture
This is San Luis Beach on the base.

Our house with all of the storm shutters closed and the plants inside for the typhoon.  Notice the blue skies...they stayed like that all the way through the typhoon, but I am not complaining.
